Google Sheets & Excel automation
Keep the spreadsheets your team already knows, minus the copy-pasting, the broken formulas and the "which version is this?"
Not everything needs a new tool
Plenty of businesses run well on Google Sheets or Excel. The trouble starts when there are five copies of the same list, formulas break every time someone adds a row, and the same numbers get typed in three times. Often the fix is to tidy what you have, not to move to something new.
What I do
- Clean up and restructure into one source of truth, with consistent columns and formulas that don't break
- Apps Script automations that send emails, fill document templates and create calendar events from your rows
- Dashboards and charts, including the less common ones like treemap and Mekko charts
- Connections to forms, Gmail, Google Calendar and your other tools
- Training so your team can keep it running and make changes
Examples
- A training company sends booking confirmations with one click: the sheet fills a document template and emails it to the attendee
- A language project got dictionary definitions pulled into a spreadsheet automatically instead of copied by hand
- A team learned Google Sheets properly in hands-on training sessions
When to move on
If your sheet has turned into a database, with linked lists, lots of editors and approvals, it may be time for Airtable. I'll tell you honestly when that point comes. See the packages or the FAQ.
